Now that I've looked back on what I've accomplished in the past year in my last journal entry, it's time to create goals to work towards in 2014! 1. Become the characters. There was a really beautiful Luffy cosplay photo which I saw last year that really resonated with me. Although the cosplay was simple, the cosplayer was able to completely embody the character in the expression which she wore in that photo. That perfect expression made the photo and the cosplay amazing. I would like to be able to achieve that level of accuracy in my poses and expressions in the future. Hello! Around this time last year, I made a list of cosplay resolutions to work on during 2013. Now that it's 2014, it's time to look back on those resolutions and see if I accomplished them. =) 1. Improve at contouring (aka redrawing my face). I think I definitely achieved this goal, considering how recently I was able to do pretty successful Elsa (from Frozen) makeup. Seeing as how I look nothing like a Nordic girl, I'm really happy with the result I was able to achieve on my face using contouring techniques. =) 2. Make my wigs even more accurate. It's the obligatory New Year's Post! However instead of the normal resolutions, I wanted to make a list of cosplay resolutions for this upcoming year instead. Here we go! 1. Improve at contouring (aka redrawing my face). I really want to learn how to change my face shape even more dramatically. Although I did a lot at cheek/jaw contouring last year, I didn't do nose contouring at all and did only minimal eye contouring. As a cosplayer, it is integral that I learn how to manipulate my face shape with makeup since real people don't usually look like fictional 2D characters.
